The Evangelization Certification Program is sponsored by the Ministry Formation Office in the Department of Educational Services for the Rockford Diocese in conjunction with the Diocesan Evangelization Commission. The program will prepare pastoral ministers to gain an understanding of the foundational concepts of evangelization from the key Church documents as well as becoming familiar with practical skills and resources for effective evangelization in Catholic parishes.

The program involves seven Saturday sessions (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM) at St. Rita of Cascia in Aurora, running from September through April. Each session includes presentations, discussions, prayer, and analysis of directed readings from key documents on Evangelization.

The sessions are led by qualified and experienced professionals in the field of parish evangelization.
