Saint Timothy Award

The Saint Timothy Award is a national recognition given to youth by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry in collaboration with the Religious Education and Youth Ministry Office of the Diocese of Rockford.
It is the highest recognition from the NFCYM for a diocese to confer upon a Catholic Junior High or High School youth (ages 13-18) who:
- Lives as a disciple of Christ, setting a positive example for other youth
- Witnesses to their faith by exhibiting Catholic morals and integrity
- Demonstrates Gospel values through service to others
- Exhibits Christian leadership in parish, school, and/or community settings
Please prayerfully consider nominating one or more deserving young person(s) from your parish/school who fit these criteria
The cost of the award and certificate are $25 per youth. Complete the form below, and have your parish/school mail the payment to the Religious Education and Youth Ministry Office (PO Box 7044, Rockford, IL, 61125).
Nominations for 2023 are closed. Please check back in early 2024.
The RE and YM Office team will anticipate having awards available for pickup at the upcoming Educational Leaders Retreat. If you cannot attend the retreat, alternate arrangements can be made. Nominations received after the March 24 deadline will be subject to availability and will be available for pick-up at a future time. Supplies are limited.
Your creativity is appreciated as to how you present this award to the youth in your parish or school. The full list of recipients may be published in The Observer at the beginning of June. The following online submission form is to be completed only by those authorized by their parish or school to do so (priest, principal, teacher, youth minister, DRE/CRE, etc). if you are not in this position, please contact the appropriate person at your parish or school to talk to them about nominating the person you have in mind.
